DETROIT PISTONS
We led the full creative direction and apparel design for the Detroit Pistons × The Phluid Project collaboration, overseeing the project from initial research through final execution. Our work spanned historical research, archive sourcing, graphic development, and visual strategy, shaping a collection rooted in place, purpose, and identity.
Drawing on references from time spent in Detroit, the creative direction was informed by the city’s visual language and industrial heritage, including the iconic Motor City sign, automotive-era typography, and Detroit’s legacy of resilience. These influences shaped the primary graphic system and ensured the collection felt authentic to the city while aligning with both brands.
The collection debuted at the Pistons’ 10th annual Pride Night and was sold at Little Caesars Arena and through the official Pistons Fan Shop, delivering a culturally resonant, values-led apparel collection at scale.
